One of the most beautiful spots in Chicago, The Al One of the most beautiful spots in Chicago, The Albert Caldwell Lily Pool, is open again, and blooming. Today we saw turtles, ducks, geese, dragonflies and, of course, lily pads. No frogs yet, so we will have to keep going. We are lucky to have so many green spaces to explore within walking distance, and while living in the city. Thanks to @lpconservancy for making it possible!!!

After a crazy week, we were able to celebrate D’ After a crazy week, we were able to celebrate D’s First Communion. He was genuinely excited and happy, and he had a great day celebrating with his best friends. These occasions are always a bit weird when you are far from home, but good friends always make it better.

On Sunday, to celebrate Spanish Mother’s Day, we On Sunday, to celebrate Spanish Mother’s Day, we went to the Cherry Tree Grove behind the @msichicago It was cloudy, windy and cold, as this seemingly never ending Winter has been. But it was also beautiful, and felt like a micro vacation, at least we got out of the house for a few hours. Somehow I didn’t know about it until last year, but it deserves at least a yearly visit.

#cherryblossoms #chicago #cerezos #japanesegarden #diadelamadre #mothersday #msi #chicago #nestinginchicago
I didn’t go out for a long long time. And I love I didn’t go out for a long long time. And I love going out with a vengeance. The last few weeks I have been catching up with friends, some of whom I hadn’t seen in months or even years. (Thank you Covid!) This time it was the turn of the lovely @palomachicago , and I can’t think of a better oasis for a workweek night than Beatnik, it’s vive, its food, and drinks like this “El Guapo”, which puts most men to shame. To friends, to encounters, to life! #chicago #chicagorestaurants #goingoutinchicago #bestcocktail #mezcal #ElGuapo #beatnik #bonhommies #friends @palomachicago @beatnikrestaurants
