Boy meets Spring. The city is glorious right now, Boy meets Spring. The city is glorious right now, one of the best weeks of the year to walk around and enjoy how it slowly wakes up and comes out of its winter grays.

3/4. As they grow up, it is increasingly harder to 3/4. As they grow up, it is increasingly harder to make plans with all four boys. The teenager often prefers to stay home. But if this year has given us something, is a new appreciation for what we have. That is a park we had played in hundreds of times. But after a year without playgrounds, to them it was Disneyworld. To the little things.

#chicago #lincolnpark #playground #brothers #hermanos #citykids #urbankids #mismatched #confidence
I don’t often post photos of myself. But this on I don’t often post photos of myself. But this one, I had to. Not to brag, but to share that vaccines are not only safe, but also what will get us out of this mess. A couple of thoughts:
1. University of Chicago was a happy and incredibly efficient chaos. Well done!
2. Everyone there, both providers and recipients, was extremely kind, respectful of guidelines, and content. There was almost a triumphant feeling in the air. This is how we end a pandemic.
3. I feel relief. Huge relief. This puts me one step closer to hug my family after two years. For them to meet my baby.closer to going home.
4. I have turned into Monk. We have all turned i to Monk.
* * *
Normalmente no me gusta compartir mis fotos.
4. Me he convertido en Monk.

I think that I have shared this before, but I must I think that I have shared this before, but I must be the only person who gave up baking and cooking during the pandemic. I stocked up my kitchen with all the possible energy, and then... bluff. I didn’t bake more than a couple of things all year long. But the other day we bought beautiful Spring liners, and Pablo convinced me to bake “magdalenas”, a Spanish sweet that is like a frostless cupcake. I looked at a couple of recipes, did my own thing, and forgot to take notes 🤦🏻‍♀️ Which means that I will have to try again this weekend. But I don’t think anyone will complain. They were pretty good. A tip? Chocolate chips have a way longer shelf life than baking powder.
